Being happyclarityGet clear on your vision and why it is that you want to do this. What is the ultimate change or impact you and your business will have. Just like Simon Sinek talked about - think of your why in terms of what you believe is truly important for you and your audience. As you get clearer on your vision and what you want to achieve - this will allow you to see the path ahead. It will allow you to make some important decisions too, like: - Do you need to leave your job to do this? - Can you work on something else that pays you alongside this project? - Do you need to work on it a full time basis now or later? - What needs to happen and when/ where and with whom? TAKE ACTION Here are some ideas on how to get started. I hope these help you gain a bit more clarity on the way forward. Dare to dream (says Jim Rohn). Make your vision: INSPIRING • BELIEVABLE • DOABLE AND CHALLENGING all at the same time. "...We want to set the goals that our heart conceives (it's aligned with our values), that our mind believes (because we know we have the right attitude and tools to make it happen), and that our bodies will carry out..." (Jim Rohn). Know your WHY Watch Simon Sinek's video (below) to be clear on this. Then break it down into specific and very SMART goals. SPECIFIC • MEASURABLE • ACHIEVABLE • REALISTIC • TIME SPECIFIC Pan out the detail: THE WHAT • THE WHY • WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU • THE BIGGER IMPACT • THE RESOURCES • THE HOW • THE PLACE/ WHERE DOES IT NEED TO HAPPEN • WHO DO YOU NEED • WHO IS YOUR IDEAL CLIENT • THE WHEN/ YOUR TIMELINE, WHEN DO THINGS NEED TO HAPPEN. As you plan - always have your big dream/ vision in sight. Make sure your goals and action points serve to take you closer to that vision. DISCOVER • LEARN: additional resources to help you plan. Advice from Jim Rohn on setting goals and achieving what you want. (This is a 44page booklet. But it's a quick read - you will know most of the stuff in it. Still, worth checking out). Visualise the process not just the goal (from Jonathan Fields - I've shared this with you before). Planning the detail - steps from Cyril Peupion (download the free weekly planner). You can use this action plan by Carrie Green from the Female Entrepreneur Association (it is designed to help you achieve something this month - but you can adapt it for your own needs I'm sure). Also worth checking out the Female Entrepreneur's Association site (it's UK based but for a global audience) and it has lots of useful bits. Before you start • know your why
